MCAA Unanimously Votes to Support CMU Checkoff

[Las Vegas, NV – January 25, 2019] The Board of Directors for the Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has unanimously voted to support the upcoming referendum for the Concrete Masonry Checkoff program and "urges all CMU producers" to join the effort.

The resolution to support the Checkoff was adopted by MCAA's Board during their January 25th annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada and in part reads:

Be it resolved, that the Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Board of Directors:

  • 1. Urges all CMU producers to support the referendum
  • 2. Urges CMU producers to reach out to other producers to support the referendum
  • 3. Urges Members of the MCAA to support the referendum

MCAA has been a longtime supporter of the Checkoff and in the past has called the program a way to "help this industry by enabling it to effectively invest in itself (without government financial assistance), reinvigorate the economy, jump-start the tax base, and expand American jobs."
